Almost all of our cut-to-length machine lines are custom made, However, they are some Advanced Features in common for electrical control and mechanism designs.

---Electrical control---

*Servo motors are used for torque and speed synchronized control of all main machines


1.   Servo motors/driver/motion controller are integrated for torque and synchronized speed control.

2.   All main machines including uncoiler, leveler, rotary/flying shear, scrap winders, and conveyors are servo motors controlled.

3.   Servo motor of uncoiler can convert braking energy to electricity and feedback whilst operated in speed differential to generate brake function for proper tension from uncoiler to leveler.

4.   Servo motor torque for uncoiler is automatically adjusted as well.

5.   10% electricity power saving, comparing to traditional mechanism brake.

6.   One main switch runs full line easily, no need to adjust individual machine separately one by one from time to time during operation.

7.   All machines speed is controlled by one main switch.  material is still running synchronized.

*Siemens PLC with internet communication module


1.   Intelligent operation modes with adequate sequence are programed by Siemens PLC.

2.   Different safety requirement for different operation modes (auto / manual / maintenance) is designed with different function limit and interlock to protect the operator or maintenance engineer.

3.   PLC Communication module is available for supplier after service by remote internet support.

* SIMATIC MHI intuitive interface and graphic symbols for easy operation

        1.   Through SIMATIC MHI screen, operator can follow the program guidance to control the machines easily.

2.   Intuitive interface and graphic symbols shortens learning curve for operators.

3.   Operator can access data which is verified by pass experience through MHI.

4.   Less operational skill required for new crew.


*CCTV cameras to monitor all material status


1.   Equipped with 4/6/8 cameras + 8 channel HD DVR.

2.   Through the CCTV monitor, operator can have an overview from uncoiler material pay-off to sheet pile-up.

3.   Operator can response immediately if any material failure happened.

*Air Conditioner for Electrical Cabinet


1.   Slim type air conditioner installed outside the enclosure of electrical cabinet.

2.   To dehumidify and recirculate clean air to keep electrical components & parts free from dust.

3.   To provide environment without static electricity for a stable performance of machine control.

*Smart coil ending program


1.   When coil is running out, coil ending program starts running.

2.   Machine automatically lower down speed, then stop.

3.   If it’s stop-to-cut guillotine shear line, the loop bridges start rising to receive the coil end and avoid damage.

* Stable loop sensors control (Guillotine shear)

1.   Strip depth in loop is controlled by sensors

2.   Sensors signals feedback to PLC and servo motor controller to keep strip material constantly stable in proper depth range.


---Mechanical Equipment---

*Rotary Shear


1.   Rotary shear is designed with rigid frame strong enough to high tensile thick materials without deformation.

2.   Rotary shear with eccentric cam structure can cut minimum 300mm sheet with accurate length.

3.   Special AC servo motor with powerful torque force can shear off the material at low velocity, even below 5 meter/min., which allow operator to handle some problem while machine must continue running.

4.   The accurate cutting angle can cut sheet with less edge burr.

*Standard Four-Hi leveler


1.   Standard Four-Hi leveler is designed to eliminate “coil set” and “crossbow” of coil strip.

2.   The leveler is with precision rolls in four levels, upper backup rolls + upper work rolls + lower work rolls + lower backup rolls.

3.   Most of them are for materials thickness up to 3mm.

*Standard rough leveler (5 rolls)


1.   Standard Rough leveler is with rigid frame holding 5 rolls (2 top + 3 bottom rolls) in relatively big diameter to release the residual internal stress in coil strip.

2.   Height of each top roll can be separately adjusted to get the best leveling result and to eliminate crossbow of coil strip.

* Standard Heavy rough leveler (6 rolls)

1.   Heavy Rough leveler is with one extra top roll (1+2 top rolls + 3 bottom rolls) for high tensile strength material, such as thick stainless steel.

2.   The one extra top roll helps to bend and feed the strip entering leveler smoothly.

*Leveler work roll cleaner


1.   Leveler work roll cleaner can clean the roll surfaces with a wool felt moving forward and backward to rub away the dirties between Leveler Working Rolls.

2.   It automatically changes direction to reverse when it reaches to one end. The cleaner shall not stop moving forward and backward until the function is switched off.

*EPC Uncoiler


1.   Uncoiler, also called “decoiler” “coil feeder” or “Coil Feed machine”, is powered by AC Servo motor to pay off the coil strip.

2.   EPC (Edge Position Control) keeps the coil edge always aligned to pay off coil strip entering leveler straightly to get cut sheet in diagonal tolerance.

3.   AC servo motor controls synchronized coil feeding speed and provides adequate torque for stable pay-off tension to avoid any stretching mark on material surface due to unstable tension loose.

4.   Seamless mandrel with circular shape makes no pressed mark on coil inner layer. Not even 0.1mm thickness material.

5.   Both “over feed” and “under feed” two modes to pay off coil are available for all metals, including stainless steel, silicon steel, tin plate, aluminum, copper, galvanized steel, surface coated steel.

6.   Capacity is optional from 5 tons to 25 tons (about 10,000 lb. to 50,000 lb.).

*Rough Grip, Ribbed PVC Conveyors belts


1.   Rough Grip, Ribbed PVC conveyor belts, which transport cut sheets from shear to piler, are anti-abrasive, high tensile strength.

2.   Belts are AC servo motor controlled. Speed are Synchronized with line speed automatically.

*Piler & Stacker

1.   By three buttons, palette can be easily transported to piler platform and get ready for receiving sheets.

2.   Stacker side guides and end-stopper can automatically set up positions according to sheet width and length.

3.   Large digital counter displaying the number of sheets received is for operator to see clearly in distance.

*Roll platforms

1.  There are three roll platforms. Palette platform, piler platform, and load-out platform.

2.  Palette platform is for palette to put palette in place ready to roll in piler platform.

3.  Piler platform can be lifted up to maximum height to receive the cut sheet to be piled on. It keeps descending automatically when sheets piling up.

4.  Loud-out platform is to receive the piled sheet stack transported from piler platform. Operator can do packing and lifting for delivery.
